When to Go

The tropical climate in the Bahamas allows for cruising year-round, with a variety of itinerary lengths starting at three nights long.

September through May is the coolest time for the islands, with temperatures averaging in the low to middle 70s. The rest of the year is warmer, ranging from 80 to 90 degrees and slightly cooler at night.

Prepare for both sunshine and rain on your trip. Short showers can occur, so an umbrella or light raincoat may come in handy. If you decide to travel during the cooler season, a sweater for nighttime is a good idea.
